Messerschmitt Me262a 2a “Sturmvogel”

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

My first WWII aircraft. I chose the Messerschmitt Me262, the first operational turbojet plane. This is the Me262A 2a, bomber/interceptor version. I had fun with the camo, but it was hard!

F-22 Raptor “Mobius 1″

About time I finished this plane. It’s the protagonist of the Ace  Combat 4 game, and rival of Yellow 13. I had fun building it. The kit was upgraded with Eduard photoetched metal parts and Verlinden resin ejection seat. The canopy was tinted with clear paints, and the camo has a metallic sheen, just like the real F-22 aircraft. Hope you like :)

Two new scale models: F-4EJ Phantom Kai and SU-34

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

Hello there!

Dear God, it’s been ages since I posted anything in here. I’m very sorry, but lately I’ve been more busy building scale models in my spare time than drawing. It’s always good to change habits sometimes :)

Anyway, I present to you two scale models I’ve finished lately. The first one is a classic plane, a Phantom, only this is the Japanese “Kai” version. I was invited to build this plane by some friends who started a “Friends of the Phantom” build group; so I accepted and took the challenge ;)

It looks awesome in that ocean blue camo I must say. The kit was a pleasure to build, and it even won first prize in a local modelist expo and contest! :D

The second model is more my kind of plane. A russian high-tech aircraft. This one is the SU-34, an advanced strike bomber and fighter, designed for ground missions mostly and long trips. So far there are only 6 of them in service, but I decided to build a demo plane that was presented in the MAKS 2001 air show. This SU-34 is armed with air-to-ground missiles, as well as air-to-air for self-defense.

The kit was built OOB (out of box) with no aftermarket parts. The only extras are the vertical fins taken from a SU-27 kit and modified tailerons, flaps and canards to be at a “rest” position. I also added a few scratch built details in the cockpit.

The next model that’s in the works is going to be an F-15 Eagle… but as Starscream in disguise!

Panavia Tornado IDS -50° Stormo Gallery.

My newest plastic model kit. It’s an Italian Tornado, one of the few active variable geometry wing aircraft. It was a bit hard to model, especially the movable wings (yes, they are not glued in place!). Hope you like it :)
