Backlight coloring video

Hi ya’ll.

I’ve finally uploaded the first part of a recording I did while painting an illustration. It’s a speedpaint of how I achieve a backlight shading effect. It is by no means a full tutorial, but I do include comments and some tips. So, without further ado, here’s the vid:

Last video of the Dante Fanart recording!

Oh My GOD this really took me so long to render and upload!

I’m a terrible person… XD
Anyway, I finally uploaded the last part of my Dante fanart videos to YouTube. I do hope you like them. I would like to do some more of these kind of vids, so if you have any recommendations I would love to read them.

Here’s the vid!

In my SIGHTS

Yay! Got more time to draw, finally!

I’m proud to show you this Devil May Cry 3 Dante fanart, which took me the whole darn week (mostly cuz I was lazing around even tho I had time to do it XD ). Anyway, what’s special about this illustration is that I recorded the whole thing, from start to finish. Everything was recorded, this is a first timer :)

Enough of my babbling, I hope you enjoy this Dante fanart!

The rest of the videos will be up soon, meanwhile you can enjoy the first two parts at my YouTube channel.

More gifts and a video!

You certainly remember two posts ago I showed you two sketchy fanart gifts for a friend, based on Nuu’s HoneySyn characters, right? Well, this time one of them is colored! I had fun, because I also recorded a video of me coloring it and it’s uploaded in YouTube already! I’ll post them links here :3

Digital screentones (video tutorials?)

Not exactly tutorials again, but these two have text explaining how I did it.

The first one is how I apply screentones using Celsys Powertone3 plugin for Adobe Photoshop. It’s an exciting plugin with tons of screentones and the possibility of creating your own! Bad news is that you must purchase a license and it comes in Japanese.

The second video is also about digital screentoning, but in this one I show how to convert gray tones to halftones with one simple plugin I found, which is free by the way and everyone can download it and use it. Click on the video to read a very long explanation I wrote for it on youtube.

I must accept doing these videos is a lot of fun! Right now I can’t think of something else to record myself doing, but you can expect me doing more videos in the future :)
